Chico Palio is the official kick-off celebration to Artoberfest, a Festival of Arts & Culture during October will run Saturday, Sept. 27 at High Noon in Chico's Downtown City Plaza. Last year the event drew crowds of nearly 2,000 people. The event will feature community and neighborhood teams for the race, a couple of REAL horses, pageantry, competition and more than 30 arts and culture organizations.
